Vancouver  - Vancouver is the name of a city in Canada. This city is the largest city in the province of British Columbia and is Canada's largest port city on the Pacific Ocean. The city is named after Captain George Vancouver, who sailed for England. He explored and charted much of the Pacific region in the 1790s. Although Vancouver was born in England, his name is Dutch and means - "from Coevorden".
