| Vancouver has a temperate climate, with mild mostly warm summers and mild, cool and wet winters. The hottest month of the year is August, when it is not uncommon for the temperature to reach 30 degrees Celsius. December and January are the coldest months of the year. In both months it is possible for the temperature to dip below zero, Celsius. The typical temperature is within the range of 5 - 20 degrees Celsius for most of the year. The wettest month in Vancouver is November, with about 18.1cm of rainfall. December is the month with the least amount of sunshine, only 54 hours.
