|What does crucify mean?
|What does redemption mean?
|"From that time on, Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer greatly from
the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed and on the third day be raised. Then Peter took
him aside and began to rebuke him, 'God forbid, Lord! No such thing shall ever happen to you.' He then
turned and said to Peter, 'Get behind me, Satan! You are an obstacle to me. You are thinking not as God
does, but as human beings do."
"For who is greater the one seated at the table or the ones who serves? Is it not the one seated at seated
at the table? I am among you as the one who serves. It is you who have stood by me in my trials; and I
confer a kingdom on you, just as my Father has conferred one on me, that you may eat and drink at my
table in my kingdom; and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
"But when the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to
ransom those under the law, so that we might receive adoption. As proof that you are children, God sent
the spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying out, 'Abba Father!' So you no longer are a slave but a child,
and if a child then also an heir, through God."
