| Turkey is a large and diverse country, with many beautiful beaches, historical ruins, the modern cities of Istanbul and Ankara, and many traditional towns. Turkey's climate varies from being an arid steppe in the interior, wet and forested along the Black Sea, dry with shrubs along the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts and rugged and barren in the East. Turkey is also the land which was once home to numerous empires and civilizations, making it a fascinating place for travel and sightseeing. |
