| Terracina is a coastal town at the southern tip of the region of Lazio. The town lies on the Via Appia Antica and stretches of the road are well preserved nearby. One of the main archaeological remains in the is the a Roman temple dedicated to Jupiter Anxur, which is found a top the ancient acropolis. The city itself lies under Monte Sant'Angelo, bordering the sea along the coast of the Gulf of Gaeta. |
